IBO Player Setup on Samsung and LG TVs: Step-by-Step Guide

IBO Player setup on Samsung and LG smart TVs: find your Device ID and Key, add your Aero IPTV playlist online, activate the app and fix common issues.

Samsung and LG smart TVs can't install Android apps, so you need an IPTV player built for their systems — and IBO Player is one of the most popular. This IBO Player setup guide shows you how to install it, find your Device ID and Device Key, add your Aero IPTV playlist and activate the app.

How IBO Player Works

Unlike most players, you don't type your login details on the TV. Instead, IBO Player shows a Device ID (sometimes called a MAC address) and a Device Key. You enter those on the IBO Player website, add your playlist there, and it appears on your TV. That saves you from typing long URLs with a TV remote.

Step 1: Install IBO Player on Your TV

  1. Samsung: press Home, open Apps, search for IBO Player and select Install.
  2. LG: press Home, open Apps (or LG Content Store on older models), search for IBO Player and select Install.
  3. Open the app. Write down the Device ID and Device Key shown on screen.

Step 2: Add Your Playlist on the IBO Player Website

  1. On your phone or computer, go to the official IBO Player website and open the page to manage your playlists (often labeled Login or Manage Playlist).
  2. Enter the Device ID and Device Key from your TV.
  3. Choose Add Playlist. Give it a name like "Aero IPTV" and add the playlist details from your Aero IPTV setup message — either the M3U URL or the Xtream Codes details, depending on what the form asks for.
  4. Save the playlist.

Step 3: Reload the App on Your TV

Go back to the TV, close IBO Player and open it again (or use its Reload option). Your Aero IPTV playlist appears. Select it to load live TV, movies, series and the TV guide.

IBO Player Activation: What It Costs

IBO Player usually includes a free trial period. After that, the developer charges a one-time activation fee per device, paid on the IBO Player website. This fee goes to the app developer — it's separate from your Aero IPTV plan, and the amount is set by them, so check their site for the current price.

IBO Player Setup Problems and Fixes

  • Playlist doesn't appear: double-check the Device ID and Key (letters like O and 0 are easy to confuse), then restart the app.
  • "Playlist error" or no channels: make sure the playlist details were pasted exactly, with no extra spaces.
  • TV feels slow: turn the TV off at the wall for 60 seconds. Standby doesn't clear memory.
  • Buffering: use an Ethernet cable — TV Wi-Fi is often weak. See IPTV buffering on smart TV.

Samsung vs LG: Small Differences in IBO Player Setup

The IBO Player setup is almost identical on both brands, but a few details differ. On Samsung TVs (Tizen), apps sometimes stay in memory after you exit, so restarting the TV fixes most glitches. On LG TVs (webOS), turning off Quick Start+ in the general settings makes restarts clear memory properly. On both, keep the TV's software up to date in its support or general settings menu — app store availability and performance often improve after updates. Our illustrated Smart TV setup guide shows every screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is IBO Player free?

IBO Player usually offers a free trial. After it ends, the developer charges a one-time activation fee per device, which is separate from your IPTV subscription.

Where do I find my IBO Player Device ID and Key?

They appear on the IBO Player home screen on your TV when you open the app. Some versions also show them in the app's settings or information page.

Does IBO Player include channels?

No. IBO Player is only a player. You add a playlist from your IPTV provider, such as Aero IPTV, to watch channels.

Can I use IBO Player on more than one TV?

Yes, but each TV has its own Device ID and usually needs its own activation. Your Aero IPTV plan's connections decide how many TVs can play at the same time.
