"Max Connections Reached" on IPTV: What It Means and How to Fix It

Seeing max connections reached on IPTV? Learn what connections are, why the error appears even with one device, and five quick ways to fix it for good.

"Max connections reached" is one of the most common IPTV messages — and one of the most confusing, because it can appear even when you think only one device is watching. This guide explains what the error means, why it happens, and how to fix it in a few minutes.

What Is a Connection?

A connection is one stream playing at the same time. Every Aero IPTV plan comes with 1 to 5 connections. You can install the app and log in on as many devices as you like, but only that many can play at once. When one more device tries to play, the server blocks it and your app shows "max connections reached" (or "too many connections").

Why Max Connections Reached Appears with Only One Device

  • An app is still running on another device. Pressing Home on a Fire TV or Android TV doesn't close the app — it keeps streaming in the background.
  • A previous session hasn't timed out. If an app crashed or the Wi-Fi dropped, the server may still count that stream for a few minutes.
  • Two apps on the same device. For example, a player app plus a second app loading the same login.
  • Multi-view or picture-in-picture. Watching two channels at once uses two connections.
  • Someone else is using your login. A family member — or someone you shared it with — is watching.

How to Fix Max Connections Reached

  1. Close the app on every other device. On Fire TV and Android TV, use Settings → Apps → select the app → Force stop.
  2. Wait 3–5 minutes. This gives old sessions time to expire on the server.
  3. Restart the device you want to watch on, then open the app again.
  4. Turn off multi-view or picture-in-picture if your app has it.
  5. Still blocked? Message Aero IPTV support on WhatsApp. We can see how many streams are active on your account and reset them.

How Different Apps Count Connections

Every stream counts as one connection, whichever app plays it. That includes a movie on a phone, a channel on the living-room TV and a recording running in the background in apps like TiviMate. Some apps also keep a stream open for a short time after you switch channels, so rapid channel surfing on two devices at once can briefly trigger the limit. If you record shows, remember that a recording and live viewing on the same device use two connections.

Protect Your Login

If the error keeps appearing when nobody at home is watching, your login may have been shared. Don't post your details, M3U link or screenshots of your settings online. Contact support and we can help secure your account. Our Acceptable Use Policy explains why accounts can't be shared outside your household.

How Many Connections Do You Need?

HouseholdSuggested connections
You watch alone, one TV at a time1 connection
A couple watching in two rooms2 connections
A family with several TVs, phones or tablets3 connections
A large household with screens in most rooms4–5 connections

If you regularly see max connections reached because more people are watching, a plan with more connections is the permanent fix. Compare them on the Aero IPTV pricing page, or read how to choose the right plan.
