TiviMate EPG Not Showing? How to Fix the TV Guide
TiviMate EPG not showing or showing wrong times? Update the guide, add an EPG source, fix time zones and match channels with these step-by-step fixes.
3 min read
TiviMate's TV guide is the reason many people choose it — so it's frustrating when the grid is empty, shows "No information" or lists the wrong programs. If you have the TiviMate EPG not showing, work through these fixes in order. Most problems are solved in the first three steps, and none of them require reinstalling the app. New to the app? Read our TiviMate setup guide first.
1. Give It Time on First Setup
The first time you add a playlist, TiviMate downloads several days of program data for every channel. With a large channel list this can take a few minutes. Leave the app open on the TV guide screen and wait before changing anything.
2. Update the EPG Manually
- Open Settings in TiviMate.
- Go to EPG.
- Select Update EPG and wait for the progress to finish.
- Return to the TV guide and check again.
3. Make Sure an EPG Source Is Added
If you logged in with Xtream Codes, TiviMate normally finds the guide automatically. If you added an M3U playlist, you may need to add the EPG link yourself: in Settings → EPG, choose to add an EPG source and paste the EPG (XMLTV) link from your setup details. Not sure which login you used? See M3U vs Xtream Codes.
4. Fix Wrong Times in the Guide
If programs appear but at the wrong times, check the time zone on your device first (Settings → System → Date & time on Android TV and Google TV). If the device is right and the guide is still off by a fixed number of hours, look for a time shift or offset option in TiviMate's EPG settings and adjust it.
5. Check Channels Without Program Data
If most channels show programs but a few are blank, those channels may not have guide data or may be matched to the wrong entry. TiviMate lets you choose the EPG for a channel from the channel's options in many versions. If a channel still has no information, send us the channel name — we'll check the guide on our side.
6. Keep Enough Storage Free
A full guide takes space. On streaming sticks with limited storage, TiviMate may fail to save it. Remove unused apps and, in TiviMate's EPG settings, reduce how many days of guide data are kept if that option is available.
7. Clear Cache, Then Reload
Go to your device's Settings → Apps → TiviMate → Clear cache, restart the device and update the EPG again. Avoid Clear data unless support asks — it removes your playlists and settings.
Quick Reference: TiviMate EPG Not Showing
| Symptom | Most likely fix |
|---|---|
| Guide completely empty | Update EPG; wait a few minutes |
| Empty after using an M3U link | Add the EPG (XMLTV) source or switch to Xtream Codes |
| Programs at wrong times | Fix device time zone, then EPG time shift |
| A few channels blank | Choose the EPG for that channel; report to support |
| Guide disappears after a while | Free up storage; clear cache |
Keep the TiviMate Guide Updating Automatically
To avoid the TiviMate EPG not showing again, check the EPG settings for an automatic update option — for example updating when the app starts or at a regular interval — and turn it on. Leave the device connected to the internet overnight occasionally so the guide can refresh in the background.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my TiviMate EPG not showing?
Usually the guide hasn't finished downloading, no EPG source is added for an M3U playlist, or storage is full. Update the EPG in Settings and wait a few minutes.
How do I update the EPG in TiviMate?
Open Settings, go to EPG and select Update EPG. Wait for it to finish, then return to the TV guide.
Why does TiviMate show the wrong program times?
The device time zone is usually wrong. Fix it in your device settings, and if the guide is still off, use the EPG time shift option in TiviMate.
Does TiviMate need a separate EPG link?
Not with an Xtream Codes login, which usually loads the guide automatically. With an M3U playlist you may need to add the EPG link yourself.
