IPTV Not Working on Firestick? 9 Fixes That Actually Work

The Fire TV Stick is one of the most popular ways to watch AeroIptv — and also one of the most common places for small problems to appear. The good news is that almost every issue is fixed by one of the steps below. Work through them in order and test after each one.

1. Restart the app properly

Pressing Home doesn't close an app — it keeps running in the background. Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications, choose your player app and select Force stop. Then open it again.

2. Restart the Fire TV Stick

Hold Select + Play/Pause on the remote for about five seconds until the device restarts, or go to Settings → My Fire TV → Restart. Fire TV devices run noticeably better after a restart, especially if they've been on for weeks.

3. Check your internet connection

Go to Settings → Network, select your network and press Play/Pause to check the connection. If other apps are also slow, the problem is your connection, not the service. See our guide to internet speed for IPTV for recommended speeds.

4. Restart your router

Unplug the router for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and wait for the internet light before opening the app again.

5. Re-enter your login details

If the app says your details are wrong or shows no channels, delete the user or playlist in the app and add it again. Copy the details exactly from your setup message — they are case-sensitive.

6. Clear the app cache

Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications, choose the app and select Clear cache. Don't select Clear data unless support asks you to — that removes your login details.

7. Free up storage

Fire TV Sticks have limited storage, and apps misbehave when it's almost full. Check Settings → My Fire TV → About → Storage and uninstall apps you no longer use.

8. Update the app and Fire OS

Check Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for Updates, and update your player app from the Appstore.

9. Use a wired connection

If buffering continues, an Amazon Ethernet adapter (or a compatible third-party one) is the most reliable fix. Wi-Fi through walls is the number-one cause of buffering on Fire TV.
